The Armoured Technology range of ruggedized solutions is specifically designed to meet the demaning needs of the modern field operative, whether the sector is construction, science and exploration, emergency services or military.
The Toughbuddy RP300 sets the standard for usability and durability. The device carries an IP 67 rating, meaning that the enclosure is completely sealed against dust particles – in fact it will continue to function following 30 minutes immersion in upto 1 metre of water. The device also complies with Mil-Std 810f and Mil-Std 461.
You would be forgiven for thinking such performance comes at the cost of size and weight but at approximately 450g including battery and small enough to carry on the belt, this is truly not the case.
The RP300 operates in the most extreme environments, and still communicates locally or globally with a range of options including GPRS (on windows mobile 2003 version), 802.11b wireless networking, Bluetooth and Global Positioning (GPS). The device can be carried on the person or mounted in a vehicle, and is expandable with all the options you’d expect from an everyday PDA. This durable device can perform admirably in a multi-role capacity.
The RP300 compliments the larger PCs in the Armoured Technology range; we will be providing a select assortment of accessories for the Toughbuddy range including various specially designed carrying pouches for both overt and covert military uses.
